Enhancing the DASI Webstore: New Features and Upcoming Improvements
At DASI, we’re committed to making aircraft parts procurement as seamless and efficient as possible. Over the past few months, our team has been hard at work enhancing the DASI Webstore to deliver a modern B2B platform designed for the unique needs of our aviation industry customers. This includes our vast range of in-house inventory as well as inventory from more than 20 trusted Channel Partners around the globe, including some of the biggest names in the industry.
For those who’ve provided invaluable feedback—and shown patience while we’ve rolled out changes—we’re incredibly grateful. Here’s a look at what’s live today, what’s coming very soon, and what’s on our roadmap for the near future.
What’s Available Today on the DASI Webstore
1. True B2B Functionality for Aviation Teams
The DASI Webstore has evolved beyond a consumer-style shopping experience. Companies can now register multiple users under a single corporate profile, enabling team-wide visibility of orders, quotes, and account activity. No more shared logins or disconnected information—each user can see company-wide data relevant to their role.
2. Smarter, More Flexible Aircraft Parts Search
Searching for parts is now much easier and more forgiving. The updated search engine ignores special characters like hyphens, reducing frustration over part number formatting. An “Exact Match” option also lets users narrow results quickly when they know the precise part number they’re seeking.
3. Clearer Account Profile Updates for a Smooth User Experience
If account information needs updating, the Webstore now guides users through necessary changes instead of leaving features mysteriously unavailable. It’s all about transparency and smooth user experience.
4. Enhanced Order Visibility Across Your Company
Users can now track the full scope of their company’s orders—not only those placed via the Webstore. Two dedicated pages, “My Orders” and “All Orders,” provide detailed visibility, including AWB, tracking numbers, and shipment origin details. Typically, no action is required unless DASI contacts you directly.
5. Flexible Payment Options Including Wire Transfer
Purchasing flexibility has increased. Users can now place orders online and choose wire transfer as a payment method, rather than being limited to credit card prepayments.
6. Streamlined Company Approvals for Faster Onboarding
For new customers or those missing documentation, the Webstore now prompts for required documents immediately after registration. While there’s still a backlog in approvals, customers are encouraged to reach out if they’re waiting for account activation.
Coming Very Soon: Major Updates to the DASI Webstore
Upgraded Document Imaging for Faster Access
Our document imaging solution is getting a significant upgrade to make document access faster, clearer, and more reliable. Customers needing a specific document in the meantime can always reach out to sales@dasi.com.
Online RFQ Visibility and Interaction Features
A highly anticipated feature, the new RFQ (Request for Quote) management tools will soon allow users to track and manage RFQs directly through the Webstore:
- “My RFQs” and “All RFQs” Views: Easily distinguish between your own RFQs and those submitted by colleagues company-wide.
- Search by Part Number: Quickly locate quotes and RFQs by part number.
- Status Segmentation: See whether RFQs are in progress, quoted, or closed, with historical access to past quotes.
- Field Tooltips: Hover-over tips explain quote fields for added clarity.
- Part Number Links: Click a part number to review the original inventory details associated with the RFQ.
- Add to Cart from Quotes: Seamlessly convert quotes into orders, with the ability to add any of your company’s quotes—not just your own—to the cart.
- Quote Validity Handling: Even if a quote passes its “Valid To” date, users can still attempt to place the order, with a notification letting them know DASI will do its best to honor the original terms.
- Closed Quotes Visibility: Quotes close if the originally requested line is no longer available, but customers can always search for alternative options, as DASI often has multiple choices for the same part.
Looking Ahead: Future Roadmap for the DASI Webstore
- Universal Quote Access: Users will soon be able to view and convert any open quotes—whether generated online or directly through DASI—into Webstore orders.
- “Make an Offer” Functionality: We’re exploring ways to allow customers to submit offers on selected parts, adding another layer of flexibility to the purchasing process.
- Online Invoice and Paperwork Access: Plans are underway to make invoices and other order-related documents accessible through user profiles, benefiting purchasing, accounting, and other departments alike.
- User and Admin Profiles: A forthcoming administrative profile feature will empower designated company users to manage team members, update profiles, and handle account changes without needing to contact DASI support.
We’re excited about these improvements and look forward to bringing even more convenience and transparency to our customers. Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to innovate the DASI Webstore experience.
